CMDI has teamed with Eventbrite to create a new campaign fundraising data app. The third-part app, called Crimson Market, is designed to make FEC compliance easier by allowing campaigns to “seamlessly import” donors’ Eventbrite information into their Crimson accounts.
The partnership between the San Francisco-based firm and one of the Beltway’s top GOP fundraising shops was a long time in the making and could help expand Eventbrite's share of the political events market. Now through the app, CMDI’s Crimson users can sync event information when attendees pay by check “so that the RSVP list, name tags, seating chart tools, and other Eventbrite features are consistently updated and accurate,” according to a release.
“We noticed a real opportunity to improve the overall experience for those involved in hosting offline events and by partnering with the best event management technology out there, we now have the ability to track both online reservations and at-the-door contributions through our product in a way not seen before in the political space,” Jack Simms, a CMDI vice president, said in a statement.
Chad Barth, Eventbrite’s liaison to campaigns, billed the new service as a way for candidates to “maximize the impact” of their events.
“Our partnership with CMDI and integration into the Crimson platform does just that by seamlessly bringing together the best event management technology with compliance reporting and voter data tools,” he said in a statement.
Another feature of the new collaboration will allow users to share their event online through Eventbrite’s social media tools.
