In early 2020, Cole Haymond founded New Way Strategies to deliver high-impact messaging, branding, and strategic guidance for Democratic campaigns, ballot initiatives, nonprofit organizations, and mission-driven businesses across the country.
Over the last 20 years, Cole has worked or consulted on races ranging from town council to President, as well as ballot measures, in 29 states, DC, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
New Way Strategies has earned consistent national recognition for its election cycle work. In 2023, we won an American Association of Political Consultants Pollie Award for Best GOTV Mail Piece in the ballot initiative division, recognizing our 2022 cycle work helping ratify the Equal Rights Amendment into Nevada’s constitution. In 2024, we earned two AAPC Pollie Awards for our 2023 cycle work. In 2025, we secured another AAPC Pollie Award for direct mail, marking our third consecutive year winning a Pollie and recognizing our 2024 cycle work. We have also been named a Campaigns and Elections Reed Award finalist in 2021, 2022, twice in 2024, and twice in 2025, recognizing work from the preceding election cycles.
New Way Strategies specializes in award-winning direct mail and fully managed text messaging programs, handling strategy, creative, compliance, and deployment from start to finish. We proudly serve as the texting vendor for the Connecticut Democratic Party, Rep. Jim Himes, and the Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA).
