Chris Perkins to Wilson Research Strategies

Sources tell us Chris Perkins, a longtime political strategist, has joined Wilson Research Strategies as vice president and is running the firm’s Austin office. Though Perkins will be based out of Austin and will oversee the firm’s operations in Texas, he will still spend a few days a week in DC. Perkins was previously the executive director of a grassroots-focused conservative non-profit. In 2006, he managed the RNC’s independent expenditure unit and in the 2002 and 2004 cycles he directed former Rep. Tom DeLay’s leadership PAC.
