Former Sen. Norm Coleman—who is still hoping he can drop that adjective and come back to Washington—has been taking a beating in the courts. The latest bad news, though, comes from the people. A poll performed by Public Policy Polling shows that 63 percent of voters in Minnesota think Coleman should step aside, while 59 percent think Republican Gov. Tim Pawlenty should declare Democrat Al Franken the victor (which offers a dilemma to Pawlenty, who is trying to balance the desires of national Republicans with those of local voters). While many Republicans want to the legal battle to continue—one less Democrat is as important than one more Republican at this point—a chorus of GOPers are starting to come out against Coleman, and HuffPo has the latest addition to that list.
