Veteran communications specialist Shannon Flaherty has been named vice president at the bipartisan D.C. communications firm The Herald Group, LLC. Flaherty previously worked for former Republican House Majority Leader Tom Delay’s consulting firm First Principles, LLC. Catherine “Kiki” McLean has been named managing director and global head of public relations at the D.C. office of public relations firm Porter Novelli. McLean was a senior advisor to Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign and an Obama surrogate.Democracy Data & Communications (DDC), an issue advocacy firm, has named two new senior vice presidents to its leadership team, effective immediately. Julie Cram, named senior vice president for strategic development, is a former White House deputy assistant to the president and director of public liaison and has held senior leadership positions in two presidential campaigns. John Dunagan, named senior vice president for program development, has 10 years of grassroots campaigns experience.
