In a move that unites two of the largest Democratic software firms, NGP Software, Inc., announced this week that it has acquired Patton Technologies.
NGP‘s fundraising and compliance software is already used by more than 75 percent of Democratic House and Senate members, as well as the Democratic campaign committees and Democratic National Committee. By bringing Patton under its umbrella, NGP will add 28 Democratic state committees and the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee to its growing client roster of more than 1,000 clients in 50 states.
“We’re thrilled to welcome the Patton Technologies staff and clients to the NGP family,” NGP CEO Stu Trevelyan said in a statement. “Our joining of forces will benefit our clients by driving innovation and combining the best of both companies.”
Patton is best known for its PT Campaign Suite, a package that, like NGP’s, includes compliance and fundraising software. Patton’s clients will now have access to NGP’s software and other facets of the company, such as its data services and web development teams.
“I’m happy to be joining the passionate, smart, and dedicated team at NGP Software,” said Chris Patton, Patton’s president. “My clients are going to benefit from the broader offerings of NGP and their outstanding services.”Jeremy P.
