Since 1988, Campaigns & Elections has recognized the up-and-comers of the campaign world with its coveted Rising Star award. Over the years, Rising Star recipients have climbed to the heights of politics, launching dozens of successful consulting firms and serving at the highest levels of state and federal campaigns.
Among the inaugural class of Rising Stars: David Axelrod, Alex Castellanos, Rahm Emanuel, Ben Ginsberg, Celinda Lake and Mark Mellman. C&E Rising Stars have served in senior positions on the presidential campaigns of every major party nominee since 1992.
In 2014, we need your help selecting our newest class of Rising Stars. C&E will select 25 this year: 10 Democrats, 10 Republicans and 5 International/Nonpartisan nominees. If you know someone deserving of the honor, nominate them here. All nominations must be submitted by Friday March 21, 2014.
To be eligible, nominees must be 35 years of age or younger on June 30, 2014. Elected officials will not be considered. In order for the nomination to be considered complete, a photo of the nominee and any supplemental materials must also be emailed to risingstars@campaignsandelections.com with the subject line: Rising Star Nomination.
The following supplemental materials are strongly encouraged: Up to two letters of recommendation in support of the nominee, links to news articles about the nominee or their work, and a copy of the nominee’s resume.
You may nominate yourself. Incomplete forms will not be considered. Inaccurate information will void the nomination. If you have any questions about the nomination process please contact C&E Editor Shane D’Aprile at sdaprile@campaignsandelections.com
