The Strategy Group for Media announced the purchase of two political consulting firms Tuesday—Front Porch Strategies and John Hancock & Associates.
Acquisition of the telephone voter contact and research firms respectively will allow SGM to create three new branches for phones, new media and research. SGM already offers television, online and radio ad services.
“For 20 years, we’ve sought new ways to better serve our clients, and this is our biggest and best move yet,” said Rex Elsass, SGM founder and CEO, in a statement. “In an age where communication mediums have become increasingly diverse, it’s critical for campaigns to maintain a consistent message through each.”
The Strategy Group for Phones will handle tele-town halls in addition to live and automated calls. The Strategy Group for New media features a new online and mobile fundraising and messaging division. And the Strategy Group for Research will deal with candidate and issue opposition research.
SGM plans to announce more branch openings in the coming weeks.
