The headline for this column alludes to the recent passage of healthcare reform, which of course we will cover in great detail as we approach the mid-term elections and beyond, but also for this month’s publisher’s note. It has a second meaning, as we say farewell to Jordan Lieberman.
After five years of excellent, dedicated service, Jordan is moving on to pursue another opportunity. By almost any measure, Jordan’s leadership of Campaigns & Elections has been a tremendous success. He leaves the publication in a position of great strength, having helped us introduce products to help political professionals around the world, launch Spanish-language and Canadian editions of the magazine and develop new events we’re all proud of, like the Business of Politics Summit and the annual Reed Awards.
I’ll let Jordan have a few final words in this space:
The editorial and sales staffs I leave behind combine to form the strongest team the publication has ever had. As for me, I want to thank Mike Hennessy and Herb Marek for their unwavering support over the past five years. They let me make mistakes, but they never let me fail. To those of you who have provided tremendous counsel to both me personally and to the organization, I extend my deepest appreciation.
Same to you, Jordan.
