Campaigns & Elections has a long tradition of recognizing the best and the brightest in the political industry. It’s a tradition that is anchored by our annual Rising Star award. Since 1988, C&E has honored up-and-coming campaign pros with Rising Stars and over the years recipients have reached the heights of the campaign business.
David Axelrod, James Carville, Alex Castellanos, Ben Ginsberg, Hal Malchow and Mark Mellman are among the inaugural class of Rising Stars crowned in 1988.
C&E Rising Stars have served in senior positions on the presidential campaigns of every major party nominee since 1992.
In 2013, C&E will select 25 new Rising Stars: 10 Democrats, 10 Republicans and 5 international/nonpartisan nominees.
Do you know someone deserving of the honor? Nominate them today. Access the nomination form here. All nominations must be submitted by Tuesday March 19, 2013. To be eligible, nominees must be 35 years of age or younger on June 17, 2013. Elected officials will not be considered. In order for the nomination to be considered complete, a photo of the nominee and any supplemental materials must also be emailed to risingstars@campaignsandelections.com with the subject line: Rising Star Nomination.
The following supplemental materials are strongly encouraged: up to two letters of recommendation in support of the nominee, links to news articles about the nominee or their work, and a copy of the nominee’s resume. You may nominate yourself. Incomplete forms will not be considered. Inaccurate information will void the nomination.
