2020 Rising Star Nominations Now Open

Do you know a campaign operative poised to rise to new heights in 2020? Nominate them for one of the campaign industry’s most prestigious honors: The Rising Star Award.

Since 1988, Campaigns & Elections has recognized up-and-comers in the campaign business with the coveted Rising Star award. It's one of the most prestigious honors in the campaign world for a reason: industry giants are counted among the ranks of former Rising Stars. See the 2018 class here.

We're preparing to name the class of 2020. This year's Rising Stars will be recognized at an event in Washington, DC in the spring of 2020.

C&E will select up to 8 Democrats, 8 Republicans and up to 4 International/Nonpartisan/Third Party nominees.

If you know someone deserving of the honor, nominate them here. All nominations must be submitted by December 31, 2019. To be eligible, nominees must be 36 years of age or younger on December 31, 2019. Elected officials will not be considered.

In order for the nomination to be considered complete, a photo of the nominee and any supplemental materials must also be emailed to risingstars@campaignsandelections.com with the subject line: 2018 Rising Star Nomination.

What makes nominations stand out to our judges? 1) Letters of recommendation in support of the nominee from those who have worked alongside them in the campaign world. 2) Inclusion of news articles about the nominee or their work.

Submitting letters of recommendation or testimonials on behalf of the nominee is not a requirement, but it is strongly encouraged. Please also include a copy of the nominee’s resume along with the nomination form.

You may nominate yourself, but incomplete forms will not be considered and inaccurate information will void the nomination. If you have any questions about the nomination process please contact Shane D'Aprile at sdaprile@campaignsandelections.com
