Helm Appears Poised to Shakeup Civic Tech With Acquisition of The Tuesday Company

The Tuesday Company, which offers relational organizing tools for political campaigns, has been acquired by Helm, which is connected to Emma Bloomberg’s philanthropic firm Murmuration. Read about the startup’s journey from being nurtured by tech incubator Higher Ground Labs to eventual exit.

Details of a “stealth” post-election sale by a Democratic startup emerged last week, revealing a further push by some practitioners away from the partisan technology model.

The Tuesday Company, a pioneer in offering relational organizing tools, announced April 28 it had been acquired by Helm, which a report in February noted is connected to Emma Bloomberg’s philanthropic firm Murmuration. But in that piece, the Bloomberg entity was called Tech Co, which Tuesday Company CEO Michael Luciani explained was a placeholder name.
