Peer-to-peer texting company Hustle on Tuesday announced it has purchased Tape, a mobile video stories platform, in an all-cash deal and is eyeing more buys thanks to a war chest flush from its own acquisition by Chamath Palihapitiya’s Social Capital last summer.
Steve Pease, CEO of Hustle, said the goal of the acquisition, in which Hustle acquired Tape’s technology but none of its staff, was to bring a video offering to market quickly.
